This is an EAI Model 680 medium-sized analog computer. The EAI 680 analog computer was the first relatively large American analog computer to use a 10 volt dynamic range instead of the old 100 volt range. This reduction in the dynamic range allowed the bandwidth of the computing elements to be expanded to 500kHz. A factor of two improvement in performance over the 100 volt systems.
The EAI 680 could be connected to a EAI 640 Digitial Computer by using a EAI 690 Hybrid Interface to form a EAI 690 Hybrid Computer system.
Operating range: +/- 10 volts DC
Computing Elements: 156 amplifiers
18 - variable DFGs (Diode Function Generators)
  12 - sine/cosine DFGs
  6 - log DFGs
  24 - quarter-square Multipliers
  120 - servo-set potentimeters
  12 - hand-set potentimeters
  12 - Feedback limiters
  12 - Hard zero limiters
Logic Interface: 24 - Electronic Comparators
  24 - D/A electronic switches
  24 - D/A Relays (DPDT)
  12 - Track/Store units
  6 - Four-bit general-purpose registers
  42 - AND gates
  6 - Monostable timers
  6 - Differentiators
  3 - BCD counters
